Tak utilizes Juju magic, triggered by holding down buttons, to master three new Jujus and combat Nightmare creatures. Players navigate diverse environments like volcanic areas and snowy tundras, using feathers as a mana resource instead of a meter. The multiplayer Dinky games mode allows for head-to-head action between playable characters from Tak's world.

Tak navigates 10 different environments using a specialized inventory of tools to progress through the world. Players utilize the pole vault for traversal, the blowpipe for ranged combat, and explosive eggs to clear obstacles. Harnessing the power of the Juju gods allows the shaman's apprentice to overcome challenges encountered during the journey.
