Gradius III es un videojuego de disparos de desplazamiento de 1989 desarrollado y publicado por Konami para salas de juegos. Fue lanzado originalmente sólo en Japón el 11 de diciembre de 1989. Es el tercer juego de la serie Gradius. El juego fue portado al Super Nintendo Entertainment System en Japón en 1990 y a Norteamérica en 1991, y sirvió como título de lanzamiento para el sistema en Norteamérica. La versión arcade nunca vería la luz en Occidente hasta que se incluyó junto con Gradius IV en una compilación dos en uno para PlayStation 2 y en la Gradius Collection para PlayStation Portable.
